We have ALL heard this term, but what does it mean to you? The “official” definition is: the action or process of interacting with others to exchange information and develop professional or social contacts.
In sales, it is how you cultivate relationships in order to fill your pipeline. Networking is where sales and marketing meet, you market yourself via networking in order to increase sales. It comes after my first C, Clarity. Once you are clear on your ideal client, now go share your value proposition and become someone they know, like and trust. I know networking can sometimes be a struggle for the more introverted sales rep, but it is nonetheless extremely important. I specialize in helping introverts network effectively.
